Webelos at MSR
These general rules are for the safety of all campers:
BSA policy requires two-deep leadership for all Scout outings and campouts. Please see each program’s description for detailed adult supervision requirements.
NEW BSA WEBELOS CAMPING REQUIREMENT: The BSA released the new camping guidelines for Webelos (found in current Safe Guide to Scouting). The most important change to note is that ALL Webelos need an adult partner for any overnight camping. This means each of your Webelos would need a parent or guardian with them to attend Akela (Webelos Resident) Camp.
Smoking or chewing tobacco, including the use of smokeless devices such as e-cigarettes or vaporizers, is only allowed in the designated smoking areas, and only when there are no youth (campers or staff) present. Smoking in any buildings, program areas or on any trails is prohibited.
No alcoholic beverages, marijuana, or other illegal substances are permitted on camp property. There are absolutely no exceptions to this policy. Violation of this policy will result in dismissal from camp and forfeiture of all fees.
Personal firearms, including archery equipment, is not permitted.
No flames, fires or fuels of any kind are permitted inside tents.
No fireworks of any kind are permitted on camp property.
No pets are allowed in camp.
Closed-toe shoes are required in camp at all times. Sandals are only allowed in the shower.
Never play games using a knife. Sheath knives are not allowed.
No running in camp (except for the athletic field!). We ask adult and youth leaders to help keep camp safe.
All vehicles must be parked in the designated parking areas. Only authorized vehicles are allowed in campsites or on the roads.
All visitors must check in at the camp office and receive proper visitor identification.
All participants must check out at the camp office before departing for any period of time.
Take good care of camp facilities and equipment. Units or individual campers will be charged for defaced property and loss or damage to equipment.
