The purpose of the scholarship program is to assist any Scout’s family meet the financial requirements for the Northeast Illinois Council sponsored outdoor summer experiences. Please note that the amount awarded to each scout will be based on individual need and scholarship funds available. We will try to cover up to half of the scout fees, if needed.
- Registered member of your Pack before we can accept the application.
- Active within the Unit
What is Covered and What is Not
- We will cover: A Scout’s fee for any Northeast Illinois Council Camp program: Day Camp, Family Camp, and Webelos Camp
- We will NOT cover: Adult Fees, transportation costs, or optional camp fees.
NOTE: To help defray the cost of camp, we encourage Scouts to earn money through fundraising whenever possible.
DEADLINE: The 2018 deadline is still to be determined. More information will be available here soon.
NOTIFICATION: We will notify the Parent and Adult Leader of the awarded scholarship amount. The Scout must be registered (online, or with NYLT coordinator) with at least the non-refundable deposit being paid by then. Delay of registration with paid deposit risks cancellation of a scholarship by our council.
IMPORTANT: We must receive one scholarship for each scout in your family, or for each council summer camp program he wishes to attend.
